An Italian Girl's Head by John William Godward |
|
|
| Godward was to a degree a follower of Alma-Tadema. In his pictures he created a sunlight world, peopled by comely women, set often amongst flowers. He was highly talented, & his pictures are highly decorative, & finished. This picture of an attractive young woman, against a marble background is typical of his output. |
